Eugene P. Boling, MD is director of Boling Clinical Trials, a community-based
pharmaceutical clinical trials center, and a rheumatologist in private practice
in Upland, Calif.
Dr. Boling earned his undergraduate degree at Loyola University in Los Angeles,
and received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
He completed his internship and residency at the University of Utah, and was
granted a fellowship in rheumatology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
Dr. Boling is board certified in rheumatology and internal medicine.
While serving in the US Air Force, Dr. Boling’s positions included staff
internist, staff rheumatologist, and acting director of the Malcolm Grow USAF
Hospital Rheumatology Fellowship Program. He also has held academic appointments
as clinical professor of medicine at the University of Southern California/Los
Angeles County Hospital and Loma Linda University.
In addition to his rheumatology practice, Dr. Boling has conducted more than
120 clinical trials at the research center in the past 10 years through research
support from a number of pharmaceutical companies. His extensive clinical research
and experience has contributed to the development of promising new drugs for
a variety of metabolic bone diseases including osteoporosis, osteoarthritis,
rheumatoid arthritis, pain control, hormone replacement therapy, and corticosteroid
osteoporosis prevention.
