Paul Chang, MD is currently in private practice in Asheville, North Carolina.
He has served as Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of the
Mission St. Joseph's Health System, and participated as Adjunct Faculty for
the Wake Forest Physician Assistant Program; Guest Lecturer for the U of NC
MAHEC Family Practice Program, Asheville; University of Tennessee Family Practice
Program in Johnson City, Tennessee; Faculty Lecturer for NC Academy of Family
Practice meeting in Charleston, SC and in Asheville, NC.
Dr. Chang received his medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker
School of Medicine. After graduation, he served his Internal Medicine residency
at the University of South Florida at Tampa. He then became Associate Professor
of Duke University to teach the Internal Medicine program in Asheville for three
years. He is Certified in Nutrition Support by ASPEN and has Diplomate status
with the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Chang is a member in many professional organizations including the American
Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Mid-Atlantic Society of Parenteral
and Enteral Nutrition, Southern Medical Association, NC Medical Society and
the Bunbome County Medical Society.
Areas of special interest include: Type II diabetes, nutrition and lipoprotein
fractionations.
