Dr. Richard Haydon, MD holds an academic appointment at the University of Kentucky
as Professor of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology, and he maintains an active
clinical practice in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck surgery. Dr. Haydon received
his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed his internship
and residency at the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Medicine. He
served on the faculty at West Virginia University 1984-90 before joining the
faculty at the University of Kentucky in 1990. He is a Diplomate of the American
Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Haydon serves on the board of directors for, and
as the Director of the AAOA Fellow Examination for the American Academy of Otolaryngic
Allergy Foundation.
He has published articles in national medical journals over a wide range of
diseases of the head, neck, ears, nose and throat. He has a special interest
in allergies and infectious diseases and airway obstructive diseases of the
upper respiratory tract.
