Stephen E. Hippler, MD currently is clinical assistant professor for the Division
of Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois in Peoria. He also serves
as director of the Center for Clinical Research for the OSF Medical Group, and
for Wellness Services at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Dr. Hippler received his undergraduate degree at Millikin University in Decatur,
Ill., and then earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College
of Medicine in Peoria. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency
training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Dr. Hippler is board certified in
internal medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
He has spoken extensively on the subject of postmenopausal osteoporosis as
well as diabetes care, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, and other topics pertaining
to outpatient medical practice. His research and clinical interests include
osteoporosis, lipids, diabetes, hypertension and cancer prevention.
