Nicolette Horbach, MD is an Associate Clinical Professor, with a
subspecialty in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery in the
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington
University Medical Center. Dr. Horbach is also a practicing physician at
Northern Virginia Pelvic Surgery Associates, P.C. in Annandale,
Virginia. A graduate of Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts,
Dr. Horbach received her medical degree from Washington University
School of Medicine, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and
Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco Hospitals.
After completing a Fellowship in Gynecologic-Urology, Laser, and Pelvic
Surgery at the University of California, Irvine and Memorial Hospital in
Long Beach, California, Dr. Horbach served as Assistant
Professor-in-Residence and Director, Division of Urogynecology,
Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the
University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. At George
Washington University Medical Center, she served as Director, Division
of Gynecology and Urogynecology and Co-Director, Center for Pelvic Floor
Dysfunction.
Dr. Horbach is currently an Executive Board Member in the American Uro-Gynecology
Society, as well as an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Oral Board
Examiner. An author or co-author of numerous publications in scientific literature,
Dr. Horbach, is also an invited presenter at medical education conferences throughout
the country. Areas of special interest include the effect of aging and menopause
on lower urinary-tract function as well as pelvic floor reconstruction.
