Jeanne M. Jackson, MD, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oregon in Eugene. She obtained her medical degree in 1989 from the Oregon Health Services University Medical School in Portland, where she later completed an internship and a residency in psychiatry. She received additional clinical training at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in a geriatric psychiatry fellowship, and at the Sleep and Mood Disorders Laboratory of the Oregon Health Services University, as well as two years of clinical training at the Alzheimers Unit of Mount Saint Josephs Nursing Home in Portland.
Dr. Jackson spent five years as the owner of Geriatric Psychiatry Consultations in Portland, and nine years as a research assistant at the University of Oregons Institute of Molecular Biology and at the Sleep and Mood Disorders Laboratory. In addition, she is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Directors Association, and the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, where she chairs the Clinical Practice Committee.
