Eric Kaplan, MC, graduated from Emory University with an undergraduate degree in Biology and Anthropology. He went to medical school at the University of Miami School of Medicine from 1982 to 1986. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of South Florida Department of Psychiatry and was Chief Resident from 1989 through 1990. Dr. Kaplan is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, The American Board of Forensic Medicine and The American Board of Disability Analysts. Dr. Kaplan is currently in private practice. He is on the clinical faculty of The University of South Florida, Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Kaplan conducts clinical research on antidepressant medications in naturalistic settings. He lectures over 100 times yearly and has lectured to over 150,000 physicians and mental health professionals nationally and internationally.
